We are excited to announce the launch of the CMIC Revitalization Project, a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing our Centre for the benefit of the entire community. This project will include essential interior upgrades, building renovations, new furniture and equipment, program expansions, and much more. These improvements will not only enrich the visitor experience but also extend our reach through enhanced exhibits, archives, technology upgrades, website improvements, and building modifications.
However, to make this vision a reality, we need your support.
We believe in the power of celebrating our unique cultural heritage while sharing it with the broader community. Our programs reflect this commitment to time-honoured Celtic traditions, while fostering inclusivity and connection. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our staff, volunteers, board members, and generous sponsors like you, our events and initiatives continue to thrive.
Connecting individuals to their Celtic roots through music, dance, and tradition
Sharing the excitement and joy of our culture with diverse audiences
Providing aspiring Celtic artists with world-class instruction and performance opportunities
Foster and celebrate Celtic music as a living tradition, through archival preservation and education
Since our incorporation as a non-profit society in 1999, our goal has been clear: to sponsor, preserve, celebrate, and promote the Celtic music and heritage of Cape Breton Island as a living tradition through archival work, education, and performance.
Over the years, we've had the privilege of entertaining hundreds of thousands of people at our flagship events, along with countless more through our concerts, workshops, and activities at our home base, the CMIC. Simply put, your support helps ensure that these incredible programs and events continue to thrive.
Your support doesn’t have to be limited to donations! Sign up to become a CMIC Volunteer. Our program is made possible by you and members of the community.
