Adult Classes

Buddy MacMaster School of Fiddle

The Buddy MacMaster Fiddle School runs each October during Cape Breton’s Celtic Colours International Festival. Immerse yourself in a small group of intermediate students from around the world at this week-long camp.

This is an opportunity to learn from some of the finest and best-known instructors, focusing on the Cape Breton style of fiddling.

Betty Lou Beaton School of Piano

The CMIC Piano School provides an enriching experience for musicians of all levels. Participants delve into Celtic piano with skilled instructors who emphasize traditional techniques and contemporary styles.

The Betty Lou School of Piano runs late June to early July during KitchenFest.

Tailored for all skill levels, these hands-on classes foster a supportive atmosphere for refining musical skills or exploring traditional dance. Fèis Cape Breton: Youth Music Program

In partnership with The Celtic Colours Festival Society, the Youth Program offers educational opportunities, Mentorship Programs, youth jam sessions, opportunities for live performance, cultural and social events to ensure Gaelic culture remains a vibrant, living tradition.
